Their superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and general corrosion is remarkable.

From a mechanical perspective, SMO 254 flanges exhibit impressive strength and high-temperature stability. Their tensile and yield strength are significantly higher than conventional austenitic stainless steels. From a fabrication viewpoint, SMO 254 flanges offer excellent weldability.
